We did take bluebonnet pictures this year. The flowers were much better this spring than last year, but the pictures were harder to take. Trying to get 4 kids to sit still and look at the camera and smile, yeah, that's asking a bit much. Here is the lot of them. Hopefully I can get one or two that look real good blown up and framed.

Vinyl wall decor
When I was pregnant with the twins, I found a picture in a Pottery Barn Kids catalog that caught my eye. There was a beautiful crib for sale with beautiful (and expensive) bedding. And there was a monogrammed picture/painting hanging on the wall behind the crib. There was no information in the catalog about the monogrammed picture though. I tore the page out of the catalog and just kept it because one day I was going to put that on the wall above my babies' cribs. I just had to find out where to buy it. Heck, I needed to find out WHAT it was to begin with.
Fast forward a year and a half...
I was browsing on etsy for things. I was looking for decorations for my house. I had seen some wall stickers (for kids' rooms: princesses, CARS, polka dots) and some wording (Live, Laugh, Love; Always Kiss Me Goodnight). I thought maybe I'd find something that I could put on our walls in our house that the kids couldn't pull off, like they can do with picture frames. So while I was browsing, I came across this. It was the monogrammed letter with the vine and all. I was SUPER excited. I emailed the seller and asked if she could show me an "M". We started talking (via email) and I told her about my catalog page, and my ideas for the babies' room. (By this time the babies were here and were already over a year old.) She sent me a couple of samples and a new idea that I LOVED! After a few email pictures and I was sold. I order the vinyl decals and got them in November of 2009. And yes, I have been holding them since then. (They are a deep purple color even though the top picture looks kinda blue.)
The saying is over our changing table. It says "Sugar and Spice and everything nice, that's what little girls are made of."
So now that my mom is here for a couple of days, I solicited her help. (I actually asked Matt to help me put them up last week before my mom got here, but we didn't get the time.) So Mom helped me and I love them. There was definitely a learning curve to putting them up and once we did the first one, the others were a breeze. I hope you like them, I know I do.
Morgan and Megan both like their pictures. Let's just hope they don't pick them of the wall.
Thanks Mom, or helping me put these up. I don't know that they would have ever actually gotten up on the wall without you. :)

Babies' room
Since my mom is here, I asked her to help me put up the vinyl in the
babies' room that I bought for Christmas. It is way harder than I
expected it to be. I still have one moreonogram to put up over the
other crib and the words over the changing table. More pictures to
follow.

Birthday Party Fun
Last weekend we went to a friend's birthday party at the park. The babies had so much fun just running around. There were bubbles and sidewalk chalk, crafts and paints. Mason painted a spider on his hand. It was pretty good. Sorry, no picture of that though. Enjoy these pictures of the babies.
Piggy tails
I saw these pony tail holders at the grocery store a couple of weeks ago and I remembered my mom putting them in my hair. I wanted to put them in my girls hair too. The babies have been letting me put them in, however they take the balls out pretty quick thereafter. Bummer because they look so cute!
Spring Soccer - Outside!
Spring soccer is in session and Mason and Maggie are liking being outside. (Winter soccer was indoors.) I'm not sure how much longer they're going to be liking it though since the weather is getting warmer by the day. But summer is right around the corner and they are already enrolled in summer soccer, which is outdoors too. Better get used to the heat kids. Matt and I are working on some sort of shade structure for us and the babies for the sideline.
Trip to the potty
A day at Dance
Maggie takes a dance class once a week. She really enjoys it a lot. So do the babies. Of course they just sit in the waiting room with me and they watch Maggie through the viewing window. Megan likes to imitate Maggie and her classmates. I'm working on capturing Megan on video, but of course every time I break out the camera, all Megan seems to do is say, "Cheese!"
I try to keep them entertained with snacks and colors.
On this particular day, they were being goofy in class by wearing sunglasses. I got a couple of shots of Maggie through the window.
And this is what it looks like after the battle to get in the car AFTER dance class...

Mason's art project
Mason made a petroglyph in Art class at school. Since he did such a great job his Art teacher, Ms. Smith, put it in an art show. We are so proud of Mason and his hard work at school.
Funny Story
So I had taken the kids to REI to go shopping for Matt's birthday (yes, this is an older picture). Mason's favorite color is orange and so he wanted me to take his picture next to this mannequin. Right as I was going to take the picture, Matt called. I told the kids to hang on while I took the call. When I was finished talking, I turned around to see the kids hands in this mannequin's fly. WTH? I asked what they were doing, and they said nothing. My guess is they wanted to check to see if he had parts. Crazy kids. :)
